New Construction and Custom Homes

Magic Brush Painting works with some of the Big Island's premier builders on a variety of projects. We have built a reputation for getting the job done right and on schedule. Our Custom Homes Division specializes in high-end custom homes and challenging remodels. We strive to provide an enjoyable painting experience while developing long-lasting relationships with our clients.

Repaints

Our founder, Guy Nicholson, began his career renovating and maintaining older homes in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1980's. This experience taught him to take great pride in repainting homes that are not new and to keep them looking their best. Today, we pass that pride onto our employees at Magic Brush Painting.

Eco-Friendly Paints and Coatings

We have always been aware of the impact of the chemicals in paints and stains on the environment, and we have been on the cutting edge of dealing with those chemicals in a responsible fashion. Several years ago, we purchased a recycling machine for our warehouse which takes dirty paint thinner and cleans it for re-use. Today, we offer a wide range of environmentally friendly products to our clients. From the new water-borne stains, polyurethanes, and varnishes, to Low or even Zero VOC (volatile organic compounds), we are able to create a healthier job-site for our clients, our employees, and for the environment.

Decorative Finishes

Decorative finishing, sometimes referred to as "Faux Finishing, " is a term which includes a wide variety of applications of paints, stains, and varnishes, which produce a variety of different looks beyond the standard "one color in one sheen on a wall." Some examples of Decorative Finishes are: Plasters; Glazes; Murals; Trompe L'oeil; Wood graining; Marbleizing; Concrete Acid Staining. Our team of skilled artisans can create just about any finish you can imagine.

Industrial Strength Coatings
