Our 6-Step Cabinet Painting Process

1. Setup: We meticulously cover and protect everything in the kitchen, leaving only the surfaces that will be painted exposed. We seal off the kitchen to keep any work mess contained and away from you and the rest of your home.

2. Cleaning: We thoroughly clean all surfaces to ensure a durable finish. We eliminate any surface contaminants like dust and grime that could affect the painting process.

3. Repair: We carefully inspect cleaned cabinet surfaces for any imperfections, such as scratches, nail holes, or cracks, that will show through the final coat of paint. We repair anything we find to ensure a smooth finish.

4. Surface Preparation: We dull any glossy finish left by a previous coating by sanding all surfaces physically and applying "liquid sandpaper" deglosser. This ensures a strong bond between the paint and the cabinetry.

5. Primer and Paint: We apply an airless paint spraying technique to first apply a base coat of high-adhesion primer, followed by two coats of premium trim enamel. We allow ample time for the paint to cure (harden) after each coat.
